September Banned Book Club + Mixtape Journals
About this Event
Make a mixtape journal + discuss The Perks of Being a Wallflower with Chloe from Book Talk SLC. A cozy, creative night celebrating the freedom to read.
Banned Book Club is back, hosted in collaboration with Book Talk SLC.
This series is all about celebrating the freedom to read, creating space for thoughtful conversation, and bringing our community together around stories that have challenged norms and sparked conversation.
This month's pick is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky — infinite feelings guaranteed — and we're channeling it straight into your hands: everyone leaves with the start of an ongoing mixtape journal, for logging every song and lyric that hits you between now and forever.
Chloe from Book Talk SLC will be steering the conversation, digging into the book, banned literature, and why resisting censorship matters.
