This is a series of immersive classes, offered by members of SACTO, in which we will paint one Sephiroth at a time while surrounding ourselves with the attributes associated with that particular Sephiroth. Afterwards we will evaluate our creations together. Using the Golden Dawn color scales and the Tarot, we will help you divine how your specific painting tells a story about you and your current magical path.
We will discuss the color theories of both Newton and Goethe, how color is perceived on the astral plane, and how to use color in meditation and magical workings.
Since all materials are provided, there is a fee for these classes and space is limited to 10 people at a time.
We will begin with Yesod. September 7th is the Full Moon, and we will meet an hour and a half before sunset, which is about 6:30pm, to make use of the golden hour before sunset for painting. We will linger for an hour after painting to discuss, divine, and clean up. That means we should be done at 9pm.
Prices are as follows, $25 for 8 x 10 canvas, $30 for 16 x 20. Other materials provided for use include molding paste, pour paint mediums, acrylic paints,assorted brushes, sponges, and a variety of multimedia additions that will allow you to experiment with texture and different finishes.
