SENZA FINE - Janet I. Traub Solo Painting Exhibition
About this Event
Pomegranate Lovers presents a cycle of oil paintings by Janet I. Traub, inspired in Florence, in Room 274 of the Helvetia & Bristol Hotel, where the pomegranate emerged as a central narrative motif. In Traub’s work, this ancient Mediterranean symbol evokes fertility, love, fragility, and rebirth, intertwining cultural memory with the artist’s personal experience.
This exhibition marks Traub’s first solo show after 32 years of creative silence. Although she returned to painting 20 years ago, this project represents the culmination of a long, intimate process, unfolding beyond the pursuit of recognition. Painting is reclaimed here as a quiet, joyful act, rooted in time, attention, and renewal.
The exhibition unfolds across two venues in Florence.
From June 27–29, 2026, it will be hosted at the Helvetia & Bristol Hotel – Winter Garden Room, open daily from 10:00 to 14:30, followed by aperitivo hours from 14:30 to 20:30, featuring food, wine, live classical music curated by Firenze Classica, and informal encounters with the artist.
The show continues at Geko Art Studio from July 1–15, 2026, open Monday to Friday, 10:00–13:00 and 14:00–19:00, with weekend visits by appointment. Admission is free.
The Vernissage will take place on June 27, 2026, with a private reception from 18:00 to 20:00 by invitation.
Pomegranate Lovers invites viewers into a contemplative space where painting becomes an act of return, intimacy, and renewal.
