Sensory MVP's Christmas List Creation with Sensory-Friendly Santa
Sensory Santa is a sensory-friendly holiday event designed for kids of all abilities and their families. Instead of a crowded mall line and a Santa who's a stranger in a rush, families get a relaxed, low-pressure morning built around what kids actually need this time of year: a chance to explore, play, and be themselves.
Throughout the event, kids can try out toys hand-picked by occupational therapists — organized by developmental skill (fine motor, gross motor, language, executive function, visual perception) — so families can see firsthand what their child gravitates toward before it ever goes on a wish list. Kids write their own letters to Santa and Christmas lists for family, while parents can jot down gift ideas to pass along. There are crafts, fidgets to explore, allergy-friendly snacks and hot cocoa, and a calm, unhurried visit and photo with a sensory-friendly Santa — no flashing lights, no rush, no meltdown pressure.
