A drawing workshop all about being inquisitive with our senses, taking a slow approach to the landscape and connecting with nature through creativity.

Attendance Price £25 (includes sketchbook, sketching pencil, and charcoal)
We will meet at the main Scout Scar carpark (///tunes.narrow.deals). In case of poor weather (more than light rain and winds), the workshop will be postponed and refunds will be available as an alternative.
Join artist, Jessica Emsley, in this outdoor art workshop focusing on deeper observation, and how we might engage with nature creativeley through the senses.
Together, we will explore the area of Scout Scar above Kendal as we look closer at this familiar landscape. Participants will be led through a series of experimental drawing exercises, moving through the senses and finding a receptivity to this place.
We will take a slow and relaxed approach to the morning with no pressure to make anything in particular, instead enjoying the experience of being outside and connecting with the landscape.
What to bring:
Basic drawing materials will be provided, however you are encouraged to bring any extra materials you wish. Dry materials will tend to work better such as, pencils, pastels and charcoals.
Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the terrain and weather and bring any weather-related items you may need, e.g. suncream, sunglasses, umbrella.
Remember to bring water and aything you need for being outside e.g. Medic*tion and inhalers.
Please note, we will be out in the elements on rocky/ grassy ground . As such, please make sure you are confident in your physical ability to participate before joining and feel free to ask any questions. Unfortunately, this means the workshop is not wheelchair accessible. This workshop is aimed at adults, however over 12s are welcome with an accompanying adult.
