Seniors' Salsa - Dance Fitness
Hi there,
I am Roanna, director of Dance Inspired NZ. It is my aim to inspire others, no matter their age or mobility, to find joy in movement to music.
Dancing can be a fun experience that improves fitness, mental wellbeing, and brings people together.
Starting 7th August, I am offering the community a Senior's Salsa Dance Fitness class suitable for older individuals.
The class focuses on getting the individual moving.
It includes a warm-up, a breakdown of basic steps, and a short routine that is taught over 4 weeks. There is no partner work.
The style of dance used in class is Salsa, but the steps are slowed down and adapted to fit the great tunes of the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.
No dance experience or partner is needed for these classes.
Classes can be done at the individual's pace.
All routines can be adapted to seated options where wanted.
Some of the tunes used to date include;
The Wanderer, Lollipop, Under the Boardwalk, Hit the Road Jack, Runaround Sue, L-O-V-E, and I'm into Something Good.
Dates: Thursdays, 7th - 28th August.
Time: 9:30 am – 10:15 am - 45 minutes
Venue: The Cambridge Senior Citizens Hall, Milicich Place.
Cost: $5.
Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer on the day of attendance.
Further information can be found on my website www.danceinspired.co.nz or on the Facebook page, Dance Inspired NZ.
