We are partnering with our friends at Area Agency on Aging and the Epilepsy Foundation to bring a special Lunch and Learn for seniors and caregivers.
Join us Monday, October 13th at our West Campus in Trotwood for a light lunch and enjoy the following sessions:
Session I - Online Resources for Caregivers
Presented by Mary Hairston, Caregiver Services Coordinator, Area Agency on Aging
This session will introduce you to the Area Agency on Aging's FREE online resource for caregivers and how it can support you in your caregiving journey.
Session II -Seniors & Seizures
Presented by Crystal Hall, DrPH, Epilepsy Foundation
This session will help you recognize 3 types of seizures most common in older adults. By the end, participants will be able to:
- Identify 5 signs or symptoms of epilepsy in older adults.
- List 3 first aid steps in helping older adults having a seizure.
- List 3 possible causes of epilepsy and seizures in older adults.
- Identify 3 ways epilepsy impacts the older adult population.
