Bethel-Hosanna AME Church and Jordantown Community Improvment Association's Food Is Important Food Pantry are partnering with Free Haven Farms and Norma's Restaurant of Cherry Hill, NJ to offer this education series focused on getting healthier food to our tables.
Join us for inspiring sessions where you'll learn:
How to grow your own food, why it's important and how to start with at-home resources
Session #1:
Sustainable Food System (Jan. 10, 2026 @ 12pm)
Learn about the importance of having your own sustainable food system and how to utilize it
Session #2: The Importance of Soil (Jan. 28, 2026 @ 12pm)
Explore the science behind soil, the seeds, and the plant itself
Session #3: Gardening/Farming Basics (Feb. 14, 2026 @ 12pm)
Learn garden maintenance and how to harvest & store crops
Session #4: Food as Medicine (Feb. 28, 2026 @ 12pm)
Learn about Food as Medicine and cooking Science
Lunch at all session will be provided by Norma's Restaurant - Cherry Hill, NJ
