Sekhmet Magic.

During Victorian era, it is said that one of the Sekhmet statues brought from Egypt, was on a bridge and fell into river Thames. Some years ago, we decided to enact this by sculpting a Sekhmet statue out of Thames clay, performed a ritual and then took it and sunk it gently into river Thames by Waterloo bridge! Few years afterwards, we did a `Sekhmet Rising' ceremony. Since then we have performed this ceremony every year.

It is believed Sekhmet, a lioness goddess, was at war and in a frenzy of battle, lost her control, and began to K*ll all the people. Her terrified followers decided to fill barrels with beer and colour it red, and placed them before Sekhmet.. She drank them all and eventually reached calm & balance.

It is for this reason that in our ritual, we pour beer and wine over her statue as offering in the ritual, before asking for her Protection, power, and blessings.
