Seeing with a Camera is designed for anyone curious about photography—whether you’ve never picked up a camera or have years of experience. No technical background is required.

Aliza Holtz, Ph.D. is a lifelong photographer whose work has been published and exhibited for over five decades. For more than twenty years, she has photographed Fort Tryon Park and its surrounding landscapes, with images regularly featured by the Fort Tryon Park Conservancy.

An experienced educator and facilitator, Aliza brings a thoughtful, observation-based approach to teaching. Her workshops emphasize curiosity, attention, and shared discovery—helping participants feel more confident while deepening how they see.
