About this Event
Photography can do more than capture images—it can connect humanity.
Join members of (TEOE) for an inspiring presentation that explores how photography can bridge cultures and bring people closer together. This session shares the heart of TEOE’s mission and invites participants to become part of a global organization using images to foster understanding, empathy, and connection across borders.
This presentation will introduce TEOE’s mission and goals, provide an overview of how a TEOE international Exchange is organized and conducted, and describe the organization’s role and impact within the Phoenix community.
Speakers will include members Bob Rink, Zee Peralta, Geoff Reed and Bruce Haseley.
Bob Rink will provide an overview of TEOE’s history and mission, explaining how Exchanges are initiated and managed, and reflecting on the long-term community and international partnerships that have grown from the program.
Zee Peralta will focus on contemporary documentary practice, community engagement, and using photography as a tool to amplify voices and build bridges between cultures.
Geoff Reed will explore photography education, drawing connections between TEOE Exchanges and study-abroad experiences. He will discuss how cultural immersion expands visual literacy and personal narrative.
Bruce Haseley will speak about leadership, organizational sustainability, and the role of exhibitions and mentorship in extending the impact of Exchanges beyond the travel experience itself.
