🌱 Seed Packaging for the Library Seed Catalog.
Seeds are one of the world’s most valuable resources. Discover what, why, when, and how of saving and sharing seeds—flowers, vegetables, and herbs—through our community seed library.
Sharie Plain, local MSU Master Gardener and MI Seed Saving Network Representative, will guide us through a fun, hands‑on seed‑saving activity.
There are 331 Michigan Seed Libraries, and we’re proud to be one of them. All supplies will be available for packaging! Seed donations are welcome!
♻️ 6:00–6:15 P.M. — Chemicals in the Home Environment
Speaker: Sharolyn Coonrod (Norwex)
Every day, we touch plastic without even thinking about it—packaging, clothing, cleaning supplies, and countless conveniences that have become part of modern life. But plastics don’t disappear when we throw them away. They persist for hundreds of years, breaking down into tiny particles that move through our soil, waterways, food systems, and even the air we breathe. The good news is that small, mindful choices—like reducing single‑use plastics and choosing safer, reusable alternatives—truly make a difference. Conversations like this help us understand the impact of plastics and explore practical ways to protect our homes, our health, and our planet.
❇️ 6:15–6:45 P.M. — 2026 Plans This is an interactive meeting to learn about Edelweiss Garden Club: Club projects, 2026 Schedule of Events, Community Gardens and learn how you can participate. Membership Applications will be available. Dues are $6 per year! More information? Contact us at [email protected]. Alicia Boyden and Evan Sennett are our First Vice Presidents (Membership). We are an organization of 45 members and growing! Join us this new year!
