Seed Paper Making - The Eco Crafts Project with Bishop Busy Hands
About this Event
Seed Paper Making
Come join us for a fun session of making paper with wild flower seeds mixed in. You can turn the finished paper into greetings cards, gift tags, or anything you fancy, after use you can tear it up and plant it for a spectacular bloom in spring!
(The paper will be taken back to be dried in our staff members conservatory to be collected the following week on thursday 27th August, or in a different one of our weekly thursday sessions if you are away.)
Note: This session can get noisy due to the blender and/or food processor used in the process of making the paper pulp. If you have a noise sensitivity we recomend bringing earplugs, noise canceling headphones or ear defenders. One set of ear defenders and lots of earplugs available in the session incase you forget yours. The session does not require you to wear ear protection, its just an option for those sensitive to sound.
This event is primarily for adults.
A maximum of 5 children allowed per session.
We ask that:
All attendees must be over 10 years old
Each under 18 must be supervised by a participating adult
Each under 18 must be on best behaviour
Each under 18 needs to be taking part in the craft activity or sat at the table as much as possible
This is all for health and safety reasons. Thank you.

What is The Eco Crafts Project?
The Eco Crafts Project is an 8‑week creative sustainability programme in August & September 2026, which is delivering 15 hands-on events led by Bishop Busy Hands Community Craft Group. Taking place across multiple venues in Bishop Auckland and 3 in Spennymoor, the project welcomes people from all backgrounds to explore creative wellbeing in ways that are fun, accessible, and genuinely a net-positive for the planet.
