Sedgefield Young Farmers Charity Tractor Run

Welcome to the Sedgefield Young Farmers Christmas tractor run. Join us to spead christmas cheer and raise money for Zoe's place baby hospice.

£25 per tractor, includes a food ticket for a burger and chips to be redeemed at the food van

£5 cash donation per passenger to be paid on arrival

Terms and Conditions

By confirming and paying for your ticket you are confirming that you have read and agree to follow the terms and conditions, the highway code, and laws surrounding tractors and vehicles being used in the public road for this type of procession. These are stated below;

o You hold a valid licence for the vehicle; the vehicle is roadworthy and has valid insurance for this type of event

o You are fit to operate the vehicle

o One passenger per passenger seat, and any passenger must be over 13 years old- This is the law!

o You will drive with headlights and beacons on- No work lights or hazards while driving- This is the law!

o You will drive maintaining a safe spacing, slowing down in built up areas and where spectators are present, no dangerous driving, no swapping drivers, or overtaking under any circumstance- if you are seen to be driving unsafely, you will be asked to leave the event.

o No stopping unless the convoy stops. If it does, wait and do not attempt to overtake

o Always give way to oncoming public traffic at roundabouts and junctions, even if it means breaking the convoy, and blue light (emergency service vehicles) take absolute priority- Pull over safely and let them pass

o Follow instructions of the event lead, marshal and stewards instructions

o If a breakdown occurs, use your hazards and wait for the convoy to pass

o No mobile phones to be used while operating a vehicle- This is the law!

o No alcohol in any vehicles

o No political slogans

o Tractors are to arrive at Hardwick Hall between 3-4pm. A safety briefing will be given at 4.15pm ready for a 4.30pm departure.

o There is a prize for the best decorated tractor, just please make sure all lights and decorations are suitably secured to your vehicles!

We will have police presence at the event, so please ensure you follow the points above. Any breach of the above will mean you will not be welcome to attend in the future. Please follow all guidance and legislation to showcase the farming community and Young Farmers in a positive light, help us raise as much money as possible for this great charity, and ensure this event can continue for years to come.
