Second Sunday Sound Meditation ~ Helena Lalita, Ethereal Violin

Join us for a journey through beautiful other-worldly violin soundscapes by professional violinist Helena Lalita. For the first ten minutes Helena will guide participants through gentle mindful movement and breathwork. The following fifty minutes will be a transcendental and ethereal experience of deep relaxation and inner sound journey. Helena creates soundscapes using a loop pedal that allows her to layer sound upon melody. Each piece is improvised, influenced by the energy of the space and places she has traveled to including the Himalayas of India to the climes of Switzerland, and the furtherest western shores of Japan.

Helena was born in the Himalayas to Swiss/Cypriot parents and is a multi-disciplinary visual and performance artist, musician, and teacher of art, music and yoga.

Doors open at 5:30 and will be closed promptly at 5:50pm. There is plenty of free parking in the lot directly across from the Liberty Place building on W. Liberty St. You will enter through the double wooden doors where someone will check you in. No walk-ins.

Mats, cushions and blankets are all provided for you, but you may bring your own if you prefer. Soundwise Theater of Sound is on the second floor, suite 273. Stairs or elevator.

Afterwards, you may choose to stay and connect with others of like-heart and mind. Have a cup of tea or a chocolate and enjoy the afterglow of this beautiful commUNITY.

Lana Ryder, founding director of Soundwise, has been a leader in the sound community since 1999, and is founder and senior instructor of the Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy. After 25 years in the medical field, she began her holistic practice in 1995 bringing a wealth of education, experience and wisdom in creating and nurturing the Soundwise Community.
