Heather and I want to spread our love of shag to NoVA! There is an awesome, active group in DC and we would love to grow the NoVA presence so there are just more shaggers in the world!
This summer, we want to host dancers who are shag confident, shag curious, shag novice, and all in between! You don't have to know what you're doing - we don't know what we're doing either most of the time! We do feel moderately comfortable teaching the basics so happy to help beginners feel more solid with that if you're looking to learn!
We will open our dance floor and have music playing for two hours every second Sunday this summer and just see how it goes. Join us. No partner needed. Let's have fun! Feel free to invite others. No need to dance shag if you're not comfortable with that - all styles welcome.
