Second Monday Shanty Sing At The Dubliner

We hope that July is treating you well and that the fish are biting when you get up to the cabin. We hope the mosquitos are staying away and that you can enjoy the fireflies when they come out. OH! AND SINGING! On Monday, July 13th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Dubliner! Do you have a song about oceans, sailing, fishing, whales, rivers or, even, canals? If you want to lead a song for us remember that it should stick to those topics and it should have a chorus or repeating refrain that people can sing along with. No instruments! No song sheets! Just singing. Song leaders: remember that we encourage you to know your song well enough to be able to get up and lead it without much, if any, reference to memory aids -- lyric sheets or phone screens. If possible. To get on the list of song leaders for the evening, look for Wallis who will be our song herder for the evening. As always, remember to tip the bar staff well, treat everyone around you as a friend and sing your hearts out with enthusiasm. Oh, and please keep conversations to a whisper so that our unamplified song leaders can be heard. It's all about the harmony.
