Rick Jenkins was a local businessman in Vigo County for over 50 years. Born, raised and educated in the area, he was passionate about seeing the county and its members growing and improving. He loved the trades and taught vocational education while
starting his own business, Rick Jenkins Construction in 1968. Throughout his life he gave many young people opportunities for work and help with their education. His passion for helping others, supporting his community, and strengthening the building
industry led his family to establish an annual scholarship to help other young people to pursue a path to support the trades.
