ABOUT OUR GUEST | Kristin Zins (she/her)
Kristin Zins is a dancer based in Bellingham, Washington. She brings teaching experience from her elementary classroom into all of her dance classes. She started teaching tango and fusion dancing in the fall of 2013. She fell in love with West Coast Swing in 2015 when she attended her first Easter Swing. Since then, she has continued to attend events, learn, and dance whenever possible. Kristin currently teaches at Elevate Swing (Lynden, WA) and runs a weekly practice group.

2:00 pm Open Floor Practice- practice solo or bring a partner. Need a space to teach a private lesson? - feel free to use the space, no floor fee. Try our Facebook Practice Club group to look for partners! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1493145055389509
3:30 pm Register, warm up, and volunteer to set up
4:00 pm Intermediate WCS Workshop with Kristin: “Managing Your Leash”
We will spend time exploring how slot and arm length can provide opportunities for variety within patterns.
Prerequisite: No WSDC points required to attend. Make sure you are comfortable with all basic patterns and a few variations (Push, Pass, Tuck, Whip).
5:00 pm All Levels WCS Workshop with Kristin: “Finding Your Frame”
We will be exploring lateral pressure connection to effectively create rotation while staying plugged into your partner.
Prerequisite: Know basic patterns (Push, Pass, Tuck, Whip).
5:30 pm FREE 1 Hour Beginner Lesson (upstairs) with Miles Van de Wetering
6:00 pm Social dance starts, with DJ Kristin
9:00 pm Social dance ends & volunteer to clean up
