50,000+ dogs are bred for cruel laboratory experiments in the United States. Activists and rescuers exposed one of these breeders, Ridglan Farms, but more farms remain. Following the historic mobilization at Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin, Seattle is joining the national call to "Free the 2,000." Ridglan Farms has already agreed to surrender its state breeding license by July 1, 2026, to avoid animal cruelty charges—but many dogs are still being bred across the United States for research, including 20,000 at Marshall Farms in New York.
We are gathering in Seattle to send a clear message to laboratories: We demand an immediate, humane transition plan that places these dogs in shelters and loving homes.
