treat gallery is pleased to make our debut in the 2026 edition of Seattle Art Fair. Our booth will feature photographic work from Mark Liam Smith, Matt Mele, Stu Haury and additional Seattle-based photographers to be announced shortly.
Matt Mele’s Vacancy series features the vacant landscapes and architectural spaces of a resort town located along the Northeast. Wildwood, New Jersey has been a satellite home for Mele’s family since the 1950’s. With consecutive summers and off-season trips to “the shore” to maintain the family business, Mele has been continually photographing the Wildwoods. Mele’s images are all created using film cameras, giving the end image a nostalgic and timeless quality.
In Mark Liam Smith’s ongoing Life Paint series, he has imagined that the paint tubes contain experiences, emotions, and attributes rather than pigment. These metaphorical pigments that are available to us end up determining what the paintings of our lives look like. In select series, the paint tubes may be flipped to signify which emotion may be dominating at any given time.
Photographer Stu Haury (image in banner) is a multi-disciplinary creative with 25 years' experience in the intersection of art, science and craft. Heavily influenced by a career in Design, his photographic work are records of chasing simplicity, experimenting with magical realism, and visualizing both natural and mechanical processes. Haury was raised throughout multiple cities on the Eastern Seaboard before settling in the Pacific Northwest, attracted to the elemental wilderness of the West and practicing photography thru every step of his journey.
treat gallery is a contemporary art project dedicated to showcasing emerging art. Our mission extends beyond the gallery walls; we are passionate about supporting the community and contributing to meaningful causes. To this end, we donate a portion of our sales from every project, art fair, portfolio review and partnership to nonprofits and charities in need, aligning our success with a greater purpose.
15% of sales will be donated to Seattle based nonprofits that promote and encourage photographic creativity for all. Treat yourself, treat others.
Seattle Art Fair runs Thursday, July 23rd through Sunday July 26th at the Lumen Field Event Center: 800 Occidental Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134. For more information or to preview the work in advance, contact director Sherri Nienass Littlefield at [email protected].
