Create a one-of-a-kind seashell paint palette during this fun, hands-on coastal craft class taught by Mehgan at Seaside Shoppes in Jacksonville Beach. Using a pre-made air-dry clay palette, paint, seashells, sea glass, pearls, beads, and other coastal-inspired embellishments, you’ll design a beautiful and functional palette that reflects your personal style.

Choose from several fully hardened clay shapes, such as a flower, traditional artist’s palette, or another coastal-inspired design. After painting your palette in the colors of your choice, you’ll select oysters and assorted seashells to create paint wells and water vessels. Then, personalize your piece with tiny shells, sea glass, pearls, beads, and other seaside treasures.

Much of the workshop will be devoted to arranging and securing your decorative elements, giving you plenty of time to experiment with the composition and fine-tune every detail. No previous artistic experience is required—just bring your creativity and imagination!

Because the adhesive and decorative elements need time to cure, finished palettes will remain at Seaside Shoppes for final sealing. Your completed artwork will be ready for pickup approximately three days after the workshop.

• Friday, September 25, from 6:45–8:15 p.m.
• Saturday, November 7, from 10:15 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Cost: $55 per participant
