Sign up for the Mountain Craft Sea to Summit guided challenge walk on Sunday 13th April 2025, nobody else offers this unique but logical route to Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa! We will cover a distance of over 45km (28 miles) with 1600 metres climbed including the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa. This open event can be booked by individuals or groups and is now guaranteed to run. For just £95pp you will be guided in a small group of like-minded people with minimal fuss to keep your costs down. If you are a fit & regular mountain walker and have experience of routes over 30km (18-20+ miles) then with some mental preparation you can definitely consider joining the Sea to Summit challenge.
Starting at the iconic Black Rock Sands beach in Porthmadog we will walk alongside the Afon Glaslyn river through villages, farmland & forest. We then take what we consider to be one of the best combinations of routes up Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa, the Watkin Path followed by the South Ridge. The Sea to Summit challenge will then be complete and all that is left is to walk down the Miners Track to Pen-y-Pass and the road for a final celebration. We can help arrange connecting transport and there will also be a support vehicle stationed on the route to provide refreshments and kit changes.
