SDH Conference 2025

The Social Dimensions of Health Conference 2025 will be held at the University of Victoria on April 23, 2025. This free hybrid (on-campus/virtual) conference will be a great opportunity to get to know other students, alumni, and faculty in the program and to learn more about the exciting research taking place in SDH. We will engage in facilitated dialogues, workshops, and presentations to continue the process of re-imagining healthier futurities. 

Futuring for healthier worlds: Capitalism, colonialism, climate change, and other social structures impacting health can feel overwhelming, and are often accompanied by the pervasive narrative that there is no alternative. But our collective imaginations are powerful!

Join us for a day together, as we use the tools of research to envision and co-create the futures that we want to live in.

Oral, poster, and arts-based presentations will be considered. Abstracts will be required at registration that will open in January 2025. At this time, we will prioritize submissions from SDH students. Pending registration numbers, we may consider opening a call for papers to the broader community. 

Online options to join segments of the program will also be available for those unable to travel.
