Sculpting Realistic Animals with Katie Lemieux

In this engaging two-part workshop, participants will create a large-scale (10–15”) realistic animal sculpture using armatures and a solid-sculpting technique. The completed sculptures will be bisque-fired, creating a stunning, long-lasting artwork to take home. Perfect for all levels, this workshop blends technical skills with creative exploration.
Part 1: Learn to break down your chosen animal into basic shapes and formations while mastering armature construction and clay application techniques.
Part 2: Focus on adding intricate details, including realistic fur textures and expressive facial features, before putting the final touches on your piece.
