About this Event

This documentary - filmed in multiple locations in Poland, Romania and the UK - explores the experiences of people displaced from Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. Made by Ukrainian filmmaker Svitlana Pohasiy, it is based on research carried out by academics from Northumbria University - Professor Kathryn Cassidy and colleagues Drs Maria Dubrova and Svitlana Odynets - between 2023 and 2025 as part of an ESRC-funded UK in a Changing Europe project - https://ukandeu.ac.uk/. The screening will last around 75 minutes and there will be Q&A after the film with film-maker Svitlana Pohasiy, Professor Alison Phipps (University of Glasgow), Professor Marcia Vera-Espinoza (Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh) and Professor Kathryn Cassidy.

Doors will open at 6pm with the screening starting at 6.30pm. Refreshments will be served prior to the screening.
