About this Event

Complaining about the weather is a national pastime for Scots – it's no surprise that one of our favourite words is 'dreich'!

But there is nothing miserable about dreich. Explore dreich Scotland through photographs and words in this celebration of the Scottish landscape.

Photographer and author Alan McCredie invites you to celebrate all that is dreich, drawing from his books 'Scotland the Dreich' and 'Edinburgh the Dreich'.

About the speaker

Alan McCredie is a freelance photographer, author and Lecturer in Photography. He has collaborated with authors such as Daniel Gray and Val McDermid on book projects and is a Perthshire man lost to Leith.
