Alliance Française Auckland is pleased to offer a special discounted screening of Arco, the acclaimed French animated feature directed by Ugo Bienvenu, as part of the New Zealand International Film Festival 2026.
Selected for the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and winner of the Best Feature Award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Arco is a beautifully hand-drawn sci-fi adventure that blends imagination, emotion and hope.
The film follows Arco, a young boy living in a peaceful future where people inhabit floating homes in the sky. After an accident transports him to the year 2075, he meets a young girl and her robot companion. Together, they embark on an extraordinary journey to help him find his way back home.
