Scott's Drive For A Cause

Please join the Pirrello Family Foundation as we host a Golf Outing and Gift Auction to help Scott McShaffrey and his Family as they navigate through a difficult time.

Scott McShaffrey was raised in Toms River and served in law enforcement with the Federal Air Marshal Service from 1992-2024. He retired in March of 2024 after more than 32 years of dedicated, meritorious service and was looking forward to a new career serving our local community. Unfortunately, Scott suffered a severe stroke in June. He requires extensive physical, occupational and speech therapy to regain basic functions and independence. Scott’s government insurance only provides 30 days of rehab therapies when his doctors say he needs at least one year. Experts have told his family to plan on spending $100,000 in out of pocket expenses for therapies his insurance will not cover.

Scott was instrumental in rebuilding the Federal Air Marshal service after the attacks of 9/11. He spent his career tirelessly ensuring the same devastation would not ever happen again, and sacrificed much of his personal and family life to successfully achieve that end.

Celebrating Scott today is a testament to his incredible strength and resilience. Despite the challenges and uncertainties that his future brings, he continues to inspire us with his courage, determination, and unwavering spirit.

The format will be a 4 person scramble. Entry fee is $175.00/golfer or $700.00/foursome.

This golf package includes lunch, 18 holes with cart, putting green availability, dinner, cash bar, prizes, and gift auction. There will also be a complimentary swag bag for all registered players. All single golfer/golf foursome tickets must be purchased online by October 8, 2024 or until sold out. NO tickets will be sold at the door.

If you are not golfing and would like to join us for cocktail hour, dinner and gift auction, the tickets are $75.00/person. Dinner tickets include a cocktail hour with passed sushi appetizers followed by a dinner buffet, cash bar, and gift auction. All dinner tickets must be purchased online by October 8, 2024 or until sold out. NO tickets will be sold at the door.
