In 2007, Singer Songwriter, Scott Cook, from Alberta, Canada quit his job as a Teacher in Taiwan, moving into a Campervan. Ever since, he has made his living as a Troubadour, touring almost incessantly across Canada, the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere.Since 2022, Scott has been touring steadily with his sweetheart, Pamela Mae, on upright bass, banjo and backing vocals. They average over a hundred shows and a dozen summer festivals each year. Scott Cook has been described by RnR Magazine as ” Truly one of Woody Guthrie’s children.”
The songs on the seventh Scott Cook Album from 2020, entitled ” Tangle of Souls ” have been described as ” whip-smart, bone-achingly lovely, socially committed songs, presented with a bold, elegant directness, evoking the very best of the Folk music tradition.” Tangle of Souls earned Scott his third nomination for English Songwriter of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
For 2026, Scott and Pamela have released the eighth Scott Cook Album, entitled ” Troubadourly Yours “, with tours of Australia, North America and Europe to follow. Admission to their Montrose Playhouse gig is £14, payable in cash at the Door, or tickets can be purchased beforehand by emailing [email protected] 2007, Singer Songwriter, Scott Cook, from Alberta, Canada quit his job as a Teacher in Taiwan, moving into a Campervan.
