Chiaroscuro is an Italian term referencing the contrast of light (chiar) and dark (oscuro). This course delivers the opportunity to work in a studio setting with chiaroscuro lighting. A captivating experience to fast forward your results. chiaroscuro Portrait Drawing and Painting will commence with initial warm up sketching on the Friday evening. A final pose will be in place for the remainder of the weekend.
Work directly from life. Draw or paint a final outcome.
Frid 6-8pm, Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 10am-4:30pm. £185

IN THE FLESH courses often run alongside each other creating an inspiring studio environment.
It's easy! Book your place and come along! You don't need to bring anything - all materials and equipment are provided (with the exception of canvas).
Tea/coffee/biscuits provided.
Johnshaven has three great venues serving food: The Anchor Hotel Restaurant. Hidden Treasure Tearoom and The Lobster Shop. The village is very popular with holiday makers, with many places offering accommodation.
