Scotland's Mental Health First Aid
About this Event
DVVA is offering a fantastic opportunity to gain a Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) qualification and develop the skills and confidence to support people experiencing mental health difficulties.
The two-day course starting on the 30th of September and finishing on the 1st of October, provides practical knowledge and skills to help you recognise when someone may be struggling with their mental health, respond appropriately and support them to access further help when needed. Whether you work directly with people, support colleagues, volunteer in your community, or simply want to be better equipped to support those around you, this is a valuable and practical course.
Attendance is required on both days to complete the course. Participants who successfully complete the training will be certified Mental Health First Aiders.
Mental health affects all of us, and having people equipped to recognise the signs of mental health difficulties and offer the right support can make a real difference. This is a great opportunity to gain a recognised qualification while developing skills that can be used in your workplace, community and everyday life.
Please note that attendance across both days is mandatory for completion.
