Think you have what it takes to be Scotland Barber of the Year 2026?
This photographic competition is open to everyone. Whether you are a professional barber, hair stylist, educator or simply passionate about your craft, we want to see your best work.
Anything goes! Your image can be classic, street style, modern, coloured, patterned or a completely unique design. The choice is yours — create the look you believe gives you the strongest chance of winning.
Entrants from all over the world are welcome.
The Competition
Eight finalists will be selected and invited to Glasgow Barber Bash to compete for the title.
The live final will take place behind closed doors on 15th November 2026 at Barber Bash, Glasgow.
Entries will be judged after the closing date of 31st October 2026.
If you are selected as a finalist, you will be notified by 2nd November 2026.
Please only enter if you are available to travel to Glasgow and compete on 15th November 2026.
Your Photograph
Your photograph is extremely important, so please take the time to make sure it represents your work in the best possible way.
- Your photograph must be taken vertically/portrait.
- The photograph must not be cropped.
- Use a simple, uncluttered background.
- No gowns or capes, photographs with gowns or capes on will not be accepted.
- You can use a phone or regular camera.
- Please submit one photograph only per entry.
A clean, well-composed photograph will showcase your cut or style much better and give you the strongest possible chance of reaching the final.

How to Enter
1. Pay the £20 entry fee.
2. Submit ONE photograph per entry. Both photographs must be sent at the same time.

Competition Conditions
- Anything goes — classic, street style, modern, coloured, patterns, designs or anything else you feel showcases your skills.
- You can enter multiple times, but each entry must have its own £20 entry fee.
- Photographs sent with gowns/capes will not be accepted.
- Your photograph must be emailed and not submitted through any other platform.
- Not all submitted photographs will necessarily be posted on Instagram.
- The model in the live final does not have to be the same model featured in your photographic entry.
- Finalists must be available to travel to Glasgow on 15th November 2026.
- Finalists must arrive no later than 11:00am.
- The live competition will start promptly at 11:30am.
