Scientific Illustration Workshop for Middle and High Schoolers
Spend a day exploring the art and science of illustration at this hands-on workshop designed for middle and high school students, and taught by artist and naturalist, Timber Green (TLG Art). Participants will observe live insects and specimens up close (with a focus on pollinators), learning how to accurately capture anatomy, texture, and detail through guided drawing exercises. Blending creativity with scientific inquiry, students will develop foundational skills used by professional scientific illustrators. By the end of the day, each student will leave with their own detailed insect illustrations and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
