Join Dr. Marcin Bela in a live piano Sonic Journey and conversation on the science of music

This experience will take you on a whirwind tour accross dimensions of music and sound. Held at the spectacular Studio 208, the downtown gallery featuring top Tennessee artists, it will be transformative visually, sonically, intellectually and spiritually.

The afternoon will open with Dr. Marcin Bela reading excerpts from his new book "The Universe of Music", and leading the conversation on the science of music, where math, physics, biology and spirituality fall together in a magical, yet logical manner.

The conversation will set the stage for the Sonic Journey featuring sound healer Fiona Maura - building on the Sound Bath tradition, but elevating it with part-composed and part-improvised piano soundscapes develped specifically for healing. For that part, you'll have the option of laying down, either on your own yoga mat, or one provided by the venue.
Dr. Marcin Bela is a Polish-American pianist, composer, and music educator who has collaborated with renowned artists across genres and performed at prestigious venues around the world. He has recently played the first-ever music-guided breathword and meditation experience at the Nashville Symphony.
