About this Event
Science in the City Festival 2025!
Science in the City is Malta’s national science and arts festival, bringing together researchers, artists, and citizens to explore how science shapes our lives. As part of European Researchers’ Night, held in over 300 cities across Europe, this event invites everyone to experience research in new and engaging ways.
With over 34,000 visitors and more than half a million reached through our media campaigns, it is a fantastic opportunity for scientists, artists, and citizens to collaborate and get creative. Visitors of all ages with curious minds experience the union of science and society in the most unexpected and inspiring ways.
This year’s edition, themed Past Forward, reflects on how history shapes today’s innovations and future challenges. Rather than viewing nostalgia as a weakness, the festival embraces it to draw insight from past achievements and failures, using them to inform innovation, creativity and action.
