Whether it's Star Wars, Star Trek, or Dune, there is a lot to examine with regard to scientific accuracy. We'll also look into how past science fiction has provided inspiration for inventions and technology in our modern world. Dr. Ryle will take all your best questions about astronomy after the talk!
About Our Speaker
Dr. Wes Ryle has been the astronomer for the Cincinnati Observatory since May, 2024. He earned his PhD in Astronomy in 2008 and taught physics and astronomy at Thomas More University for 16 years while also serving as director of the campus observatory. His career has been focused on science outreach and education through youth camps, public lectures, and classes.
