2026 Juniata College Science Connections Camp – Future-Focused Technologies
July 26–29, 2026
Juniata College | Huntingdon, Pa.
The Juniata College Science Connections Camp is an overnight science experience designed for students entering grades 7–10 in 2026. This small-group program (maximum of 12 students) introduces participants to hands-on, future-focused technologies through interactive projects in coding, robotics, and engineering.
Students will work closely with Juniata faculty and staff during the day and be supervised by trained student counselors during evenings and overnight stays. The camp combines technical learning with collaborative challenges, recreation, and community-building activities.
Program Highlights:
Quack the Code: The Ultimate Autonomous Challenge
Students program Duckiebot autonomous robots using coding, computer vision, and AI concepts to navigate challenges such as lane following, obstacle avoidance, and simulated racing environments.
The Reality Hack: 3D Printing and the Power of Code
Participants explore how 3D printing transforms digital designs into real-world objects, learning how algorithms and geometry connect to applications in engineering, medicine, and manufacturing.
Can You Roll with Sphero?
Students design and code solutions using Sphero Bolt robots to complete timed challenges such as maze navigation, bowling tasks, and precision obstacle courses.
Outside of classroom sessions, students will participate in recreational activities including sports, water activities, games, movies, and evening campfires, while earning points for team-based competitions and prizes.
