Science Club Abingdon - Weird Materials (Ages 5-9)

Get ready for weird science as we experiment with magical materials at this month’s Science Club Abingdon. Use smart substances to create scientific wonders: predict what happens when you add water to mystery powders, and make fake snow, pop rocks and slime! Test your strength against unrippable paper, see colours change before your very eyes, and discover what amazing material stays dry underwater, and how? Make a cool UV bracelet to take home to warn you when the sun is strong!

Suitable for ages 5-9

Children must be accompanied by an adult. These family workshops are designed for you and your child to learn from each other and work together while trying out new things.

Ticket includes your timed Saturday Science Club session

The Yang Science Centre is accessible through Faringdon Lodge, at the left end of the Abingdon School Sports Centre car park. The car park is reserved for the sports centre, please use other parking or transport options.
