School Holiday Workshop | Giant Royal Playing Cards

Workshop description: Step into the world of kings, queens, and bold design in this fun and imaginative art workshop! Young artists will create their own giant King or Queen playing card, inspired by classic card decks. Using A3 card and easy-to-follow templates, students will explore symmetry, bold shapes, and character design while making a striking large-scale artwork. Led by artist Rachel Wykeham (Moodie), participants will discover how traditional playing cards are cleverly designed so the top and bottom mirror each other. Kids will sketch their royal character and bring them to life with colourful patterns, crowns, costumes, and expressive details using mixed media.
