Copper Box—a beacon of timeless artistry. Their melodies weave a tapestry of tradition, painted with hues of folk, polka, rock, blues, and jazz, offering a musical experience that transcends time and promise to move you.
But that's not all! It's also a love story come to life between Michelle LL and Danny Jerabek. Danny, a self-taught master of the button box “accordion,” draws from family heritage and inspired by echoes of accordion legends past and continues to push the instrument into the future with his signature, innovative ability. His counterpart, Michelle LL, lends her sultry voice and artistry on the saxophone and guitar. Add the rhythmic prowess of Dan Cable on drums, who has been driving the Copper Box groove for the last 9 years, and the return of Danny's brother, David Jerabek, a seasoned pro on bass and harmonies, and you have a musical journey like no other!
The Schauer Courtyard is between the Schauer Arts Center and Hartford Recreation Center buildings. The courtyard and bar open at 5:30 p.m., with live music playing from 6:00–9:00 p.m. Admission is free, but a $5.00 donation is suggested per person. Please note that seating is limited, so we kindly ask you to bring your lawn chair.
