Scent101 for Wellness Practitioners

This workshop is designed to empower wellness practitioners (yoga teachers, sound healers and other facilitators) to incorporate scent into their offerings. Kim will touch on the different ways of diffusing fragrances, choosing the right scents (in an ethical way and authentic to your unique offer), and blending formulas by yourself. Lastly, participants will be able to design their own aromatherapeutic roll-on.

What you’ll learn:

• different ways to fragrance a room

• blending essences in authenticity with your services

• how to choose the right medium (oil, alcohol, water, air)

• energetic and psycological effects

• choosing carrier oils and topical application

• ethics and considering marginalized groups

• making your own oil-based formula

Note: Please bring a notebook and pen, as well as clothes that could stain a bit in case we get messy :)

About the facilitator

Kim Gerlach, she/her, is a scent practitioner and breathworker. Her olfactive work is focused on the cultivation of presence and the creation of new pathways our bodies and minds can follow to heal. She seeks to expand the medium by building and resolving the tension between the familiar and the unknown. She addresses the topics of finding intuition and inner guidance, multiculturalism, and the power of breath.
