I’m hosting a small-group scent design workshop at The Local Spot in Belmont for a chance to slow down and create something that is your own.

Each guest begins with one full-size product ($90) and can design additional pieces for +$20 each.

I’ve built this experience to feel relaxed, creative, and sensory—part design studio, part escape. You’ll leave with something truly personal, and maybe a new way to think about scent.

Blend and compose your own fragrance with expert guidance.

Choose your product base:

• 50ml perfume
• 10ml perfume oil roller
• 2oz body oil
• 2oz room spray
• 5oz candle

Create additional products in your scent (+$20 each).

Package your creations with tissue, wax seals, and cards.

Each guest takes home their finished product(s) and a scent formula card for future reference.

Mode Korvidae is a fragrance-based apothecary rooted in emotional storytelling and craftsmanship. Each creation explores the connection between scent, memory, and design — combining chemistry and artistry to transform everyday rituals into sensory experiences.

Info: You arrive, settle in, and find your seat at the blending table. Take a moment to explore the setup—fragrance bottles, pipettes, and the curated scent library arranged before you.
Mode welcomes you and introduces the process of scent design: how notes interact, how balance creates character, and how to begin thinking about your own fragrance concept.
You’ll have time to relax, get comfortable, and start discovering a few scents that immediately draw you in.

Info: You’ll begin exploring the curated fragrance families—bright, floral, earthy, and deep. Using scent strips, you test, compare, and note what resonates.
Mode guides you through how top, heart, and base notes form structure. You’ll narrow your choices to a few favorite notes that capture your mood or style.
By the end of this segment, you’ll have chosen 3–5 notes that will become the foundation of your personal blend.

Info: Now the fun begins—you’ll measure and mix your selected notes into your chosen base product: perfume, body oil, candle, or room spray.
Mode will assist with proportion, layering, and fine-tuning the scent to make it feel balanced and intentional.
If you’d like to create more than one piece, this is when you can add additional products (+$20 each).

Info: Your creation is complete — now you’ll bottle, label, and wrap it using Mode’s signature materials: tissue, wax seals, and cards.
You’ll name your scent, fill out your formula card, and package it to take home.
The workshop closes with reflection and conversation — a moment to share your scent’s story, ask final questions, and enjoy the calm satisfaction of something made by hand and heart.
