In our increasingly digital world, social media has become a vital part of our daily lives, shaping our identities, relationships, and memories. This talk delves into the significance of social media, and how it impacts Singapore’s digital legacy and future. Join us to discover why taking care of your social media is not just about technology, but also about preserving a piece of your life for yourself and for our nation’s digital story.

About the Speakers

Lee Meiyu is an Assistant Director with the National Library, Singapore. She manages the statutory functions of the National Library, including its Legal Deposit collection and social media archiving.

Shereen Tay is a Librarian with the National Library, Singapore. She is part of the team that oversees the statutory functions of the National Library, in particular web and social media archiving.

Onsite Programme/Event Administrative Information

  • All participants are required to register for a ticket. Each ticket admits 1 person only. Please present your ticket when you enter the library and the event venue.
  • Arrive 10 mins before the session commences. Seats of late attendees may be given to those in the waitlist. Walk-ins are subject to availability.
  • NLB reserves the right to deny entry to participants who do not abide by the ground rules.
  • Please note that photos and/or videos of this programme and its participants may be taken.
