In the fire service, we often say we're a family. It's more than a saying—it's a promise. When one of our own is facing the fight of their life, we don't stand on the sidelines. We show up. We stand shoulder to shoulder. We carry the weight together.
Today, Captain Tim Broeker, a dedicated firefighter with nearly 26 years of service, and his wife, Anita, need our help. Anita is preparing for a life-saving transplant and facing extensive out-of-town treatment. Along with the emotional challenges come overwhelming medical expenses, travel costs, lodging, and time away from home.
On Saturday, September 5th at 7:00 PM, please join us at the Shrewsbury City Center – Sunset Room for a Mouse Race Fundraiser benefiting the Broeker family.
This evening isn't just for firefighters—it's for friends, family, neighbors, and our entire community. Because being a hero doesn't always mean running into a burning building.
Sometimes, being a hero is simply showing up.
By attending, donating, bidding, or simply sharing a laugh with others, you're helping lift a family during one of the most difficult times of their lives. Every act of kindness reminds Tim and Anita that they are surrounded by people who care.
