Jibanananda Festival is returning for the 7th year to celebrate the legacy of the finest Bengali Poet of 20th Century Jibanananda Das.
About this Event

Curated by poet Ahmed Kaysher, the festival, in collaboration with Bangladesh centre, is bringing new, emngaging and inclusive performances, poetry-theatres based on Jibanananda's translated poetry, music based on his poems, recitation from his translated works as well as insightful talks to re-interpret his literary works in the context of today's world literature.

A series of haunting visual interpretation of his poems will be brought in live through a selection of Indian classical dance.

The session will also present a Saudha production that sheds a new light on Jibananada through complementing works of a world-leading Austrian poet Rainer Maria Rilke as part of observing Rilke's death centenary year.
