2024 Noelia Ricci “Bro” Forlì Bianco $24.94
Noelia Ricci was established in 2010 on the historic Pandolfa estate in Emilia-Romagna, originally owned by Giuseppe Ricci. His daughter Noelia recognized the potential of the estate’s hillside vineyards and laid the groundwork for its modern revival. Today, the property is run by her granddaughter Paola Piscopo and her son Marco Cirese.
This wine is a blend of Trebbiano Romagnolo and Trebbiano di Spagna, grown on slopes overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It is aged for six months on the lees in stainless steel, followed by additional bottle aging, resulting in a fresh yet textural white with coastal influence.
2016 Paolo and Giampiero Bea Arboreus Umbria Bianco $71.94
Paolo Bea is the most influential estate in Umbria, a landlocked region in central Italy. The Bea family has farmed in Montefalco since the 1500s, and today Paolo works alongside his sons, Giuseppe and Giampiero, as leaders of biodynamic farming and non-interventionist winemaking.
Arboreus is one of the most iconic skin-contact white wines in Italy, made from 150-year-old Trebbiano Spoletino vines. The name Arboreus translates to “tree-like,” referencing the ancient vine-training method in which vines grow wrapped around living trees. The grapes are macerated on their skins for approximately one month and aged in stainless steel. In keeping with the Bea philosophy, the wine is organic, unfined, unfiltered, and made without added sulfur.
2023 Noelia Ricci Sangiovese Superiore $26.94
Grown at 250–300 meters above sea level on calcareous clay soils at the foothills of the Apennines, this 100% Sangiovese reflects the balance of mountain and maritime influences.
The wine undergoes a 28-day maceration in stainless steel and is aged for six months, producing a structured yet approachable style. A natural pairing for classic Italian dishes such as risotto or tortellini.
2020 De Monaco & Holland Rosso di Todi $39.94
From the medieval hilltop town of Collazzone in Umbria, this small-production wine comes from just six hectares within the Rosso di Todi DOC. Winemaker Lorenzo di Monaco focuses on meticulous vineyard work and experimental cellar techniques, including the use of amphorae and large-format oak.
This blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Colorino, and 5% Malvasia Nera is macerated for 20 days and aged for approximately 24 months in large 500L botti, resulting in a refined and complex expression.
2022 Scacciadiavoli Rosso di Montefalco $24.94
Founded in 1884 by Prince Ugo Boncompagni Ludovisi, Scacciadiavoli has long been a cornerstone of Umbrian winemaking. The estate later became a pioneer in producing dry Sagrantino, helping define the region’s identity. Today, it remains family-run by the Pambuffetti family.
This traditional blend—60% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot, and 15% Sagrantino—is aged for at least six months in French oak, offering a fresh, versatile red designed for everyday enjoyment.
2018 Paolo Bea “Rosso de Veo” Umbria $98.94
Sagrantino is one of Italy’s most powerful grapes, known for its intense structure and high tannins. “Rosso de Veo” is Paolo Bea’s expression from younger vines, offering a more approachable yet still profound interpretation.
The grapes, primarily from the high-elevation Cerrete vineyard, undergo 45 days of skin maceration, followed by aging for one year in stainless steel, two years in large oak, and an additional year in bottle. As with all Bea wines, fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts, and the wine is neither fined nor filtered.
