This program takes place at our French Quarter Visitor Center - 419 Decatur St, New Orleans, LA 70130. Admission is free and open to the public, seating is limited and offered first come, first served basis.
Saskia Walker is a jazz vocalist from Rome, Italy. She moved to New Orleans in 2019 and has been performing around town ever since. This monthly series will feature local musicians as they perform music from the Great American Songbook, the Silver Book, and more New Orleans traditional music.
Joining Saskia today will be Dimitri Hanafin-Reyes, piano player from San Francisco who studied under Jesse McBride in the tradition of Ellis Marsalis and Dane Harter, bass player, also from Baton Rouge. Harter has recently returned to the area after completing his Masters degree in music at Florida State University.
