Community Dance Class with N'Fungola Sibo African Dance & Drum Company

Join the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation for a free community-wide African drum and dance class led by Myienie Caesar, the award-winning Executive Director of N’Fungola Sibo African Dance and Drum Company Inc., on Friday, June 26, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center.
The class will introduce participants to the energy, movement, rhythm, and cultural traditions of West African dance and drumming. Through African song, instruments, dance, and folklore, N’Fungola Sibo will share an experience rooted in cultural education, positive energy, community, and connection.
As a traditional West African performing company, N’Fungola Sibo African Dance & Drum Company, Inc. is dedicated to educating the public about authentic African culture, with a focus on West African dance and the values of character, heritage, and cultural pride.
This class is free and open to the community. All are welcome.

As a non-profit organization, N’Fungola Sibo will educate people about an authentic African culture in relation to West African dance. Our mission as a traditional West African dance, drum, and performing company is to educate the general population through the promotion of positive energy, character, and ethnicity, using African song, drum, dance, and folklore.
