Sapphic Jazz Night at The Domino Club, Leeds

Join us for the first Violet Hours gathering: an intimate jazz night for sapphic and queer women at The Domino Club in Leeds.

Violet Hours is a new cultural event series for queer women in the North, centred around art, music, food, wine and conversation. These events are for women who want something more considered than another night in a bar. Think beautiful venues, good company, culture-led evenings and a way to meet other sapphic women without everything revolving around clubs, dating apps or late nights.

For our first event, we’re starting with jazz.

We’ll meet nearby beforehand so people can arrive, introduce themselves and get to know a few faces before heading into The Domino Club together. This is especially for anyone coming alone — you are very welcome, and we’ll make sure you’re not left awkwardly hovering by a doorway pretending to read a menu you’ve already memorised.

After the pre-meet, we’ll head to The Domino Club for an evening of live jazz in one of Leeds’ best-loved music venues.

This event is small with just 20 places available. If you cannot make the event after purchasing a ticket, please email [email protected] and we will aim to find somebody else to take your place however refunds cannot be issued if we cannot find somebody else to take your ticket.

Who it’s for

This event is for sapphic and queer women, who want to meet other queer women in a grown-up, relaxed and culturally interesting setting.

You can come alone, with a friend, with a partner, or with a few people. The whole point is to create a room where people can actually meet each other.

Accessibility note

The Domino Club is downstairs and accessed via stairs. Unfortunately, this event is not wheelchair accessible. We know this is not ideal and will prioritise accessible venues wherever possible for future Violet Hours events.
